ACT II consists primarily of grad-level and post-grad members (approximate ages 23-30). Join us Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m-7:00 p.m for lively discussion on faith-based topics in the Fourth Floor Loft (Room 400).
The group has an emphasis on informal conversation and cultivating close friendships while studying the scriptures. Members also try to spend time with each other in informal settings at different times during the week and the group hosts various activities such as group dinners, etc. For more information, contact Rev. Bill Frisbie at 512-478-9387 or bfrisbie@uumc.org. You can also email Act II at: actII@uumc.org
“When I first starting coming, what distinguished it most from university ministries is that the group members themselves are heavily involved in planning and leading discussion topics. This me
ans there’s always a lot of variety: in the last year, these topics have ranged from Bible study and theology to current events, history, and even spiritual personality tests. The format of sharing lunch and discussion works very well, and allows plenty of time for us to get to know each other and catch up on the last week in addition to the planned topic.”
