University United Methodist Foundation provides continuing financial support to University United Methodist Church (UUMC) and its ministries through substantial annual distributions. The Foundation, established in 1962, is a permanent endowment fund of nearly $2 million in assets and provides an opportunity for UUMC members and friends to direct and donate personal financial and/or property assets to support the existing and future ministries and missions of the church.
Gifts of any size are welcome and may be made in honor or memory of someone, or even anonymously. Past donations include money gifts, life insurance policies, annuities, bequests through a will or trust, real estate (homes), IRA distributions, stock transfers and memorial gifts. The Foundation meets all requirements of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so that contributions are tax deductible.
To learn more about the Foundation, you may contact Foundation Chair Carroll Martin, Vice Chair Susan Campbell, Rev. Bernie Sandberg or UUMC Finance Director Cindy Reeves. Church members, the chairs of the Administrative Council, the Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees, and the Senior Pastor serve as directors. The current directors include Carroll Martin, Susan Campbell, Bill Bingham, Julian Martin, Clyde Bennett, David Reeves, Carole Gottlieb and Linda Nichols.
