Covenant Discipleship
The purpose of Covenant Discipleship groups is to witness to Jesus Christ in the world and to follow his teachings through concrete acts of compassion, justice, worship, devotion and spiritual guidance through the work of the Holy Spirit. Group members meet weekly at any convenient place and time to discuss and share how they can better fulfill that purpose. Members seek to incorporate Jesus’ teachings in all aspects of their lives: private, personal, public and social. For more information, email the church office: office@uumc.org or call 512-478-9387.
Home Room Groups
UUMC draws its members from all over the Austin area, and for some the church is the only place where their paths cross. Home Room groups bring together UUMC members who are also neighbors, providing an opportunity for regular fellowship and spiritual development outside the church home at 24th Street and Guadalupe Street. The groups, organized by ZIP codes and open to people of all ages, gather in the home of a member monthly to share a potluck dinner. The characteristics of UUMC’s Home Rooms vary with the needs and gifts of their members, but all of the groups provide opportunities for information-sharing and disciple-making – and good food. For more information, email the church office: office@uumc.org or call 512-478-9387.
Both the Greater Rosedale and the 78704 Home Room Groups are reconciling Groups.
