On Sun. May 14, the Sanctuary Choir will present Gloria by John Rutter, prolific British composer and founding conductor of the Cambridge Singers, Clare College, Cambridge. Accompanied by brass, timpani, percussion and organ, this vibrant and energetic work is a cornerstone of modern choral repertoire. Drawn from the Ordinary of the Mass, the Latin text is exalted, devotional, and jubilant in its three enthralling movements with ancient sacred texts rooted in Gregorian Chant. The John Rutter Gloria will be presented in its entirety, with a duration of approximately eighteen minutes. Invite your friends and neighbors to this wonderful service!
