Sunday Morning Worship in the Sanctuary
Our intimate, early-morning traditional service, with usually 50-75 in attendance, is an invigorating and rich worship experience. It includes congregational singing, an engaging sermon and the weekly celebration of Holy Communion. The service lasts about an hour.
Our dynamic, late-morning traditional service includes music led by the UUMC Choir, artful preaching, passionate congregational singing and meaningful prayer. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and on special feast days. This service, with usually 250-300 in attendance, is about an hour long. For more information about our worship services, contact Rev. Lisa Blaylock, Associate Pastor.
Sunday Evening Worship with Campus Ministry
7:45 pm, resuming Aug. 21, 2016
Campus Ministry’s informal worship service is a time for area college students to gather in our Chapel for songs, prayers, communion and renewal. A shared Campus Ministry meal served in our Fellowship Hall starts at 7 pm before our worship begins. For more information, contact Megan Otto, Director of Campus Ministry.
Music in Worship
UUMC is proud of its rich tradition of outstanding music. Our 55-member choir began more than 80 years ago and continues to uplift our Sanctuary services with sacred music from around the world, sung in a variety of languages. Our Chapel and Campus Ministry services include the talents of local musicians who draw inspiration from a variety of contemporary and traditional sources.
