Join us in remembering All of our Saints through song and verse. Our Sanctuary Choir will share choral pieces spanning the breadth of love and loss. This service is guided by the structure of the traditional latin Requiem Mass, and anchored in three movements of Eleanor Daley's Requiem, additional composers include Brandon Williams, Craig Hella Johnson, John Rutter and Shawn Kirchner.
The service will also include scripture and contemporary readings on grief and loss including poems by Andrea Gibson and Merrit Malloy. We will celebrate Holy Communion and remember the members of UUMC who have died in the last year by candlelighting. As we worship together this day, you are invited to bring pictures of loved ones and/or friends you grieve and remember. Tables will be set up in the sanctuary for you to place the pictures.
This non-traditional All Saint's service will hold you with the warmth of the human voice, providing space for tears and remembrance of all that our saints have given us.
We hope you will join us, to carry our grief and gratitude together.
