Hi friends,
I hope all of you have had a great summer. I got to hear about some of your adventures but can’t wait to catch up with each of you soon. We had our busiest summer yet at UUMC with youth and kids. Natasha and I ran 3 camps and 2 mission trips. We are tired but so thankful for our jobs and all you amazing people. We’re looking forward to another great year!
Speaking of, I hope you all can make it to our back to school kick-off THIS Sunday, August 16th. We will meet in the chapel at 9:45am to talk through our calendar for the year while kiddos are in Sunday School. Afterwards, we’ll grab tacos in the courtyard and end by blessing the backpacks in 11am service. Encourage your kids to bring their backpacks for children’s time where I will hand out tags. This is a great Sunday to invite other families that are interested in a church community.
As we get into the school year, we are starting a new way to manage attendance. If you want to check it out, you can here. We keep this google sheet private, so you will request access and we will grant it if you are a participating family. Once you’re in, you can navigate to the “26-27 Children” tab on the bottom left. Please verify that any of the information already in is accurate. Please add your child and information if they are not already in and you can mark your child’s attendance as the year goes on. We’ll also go over how to use the attendance sheet at our parent meeting this Sunday.
We love to see all of you on ack to school Sunday so you can hear from us about new events, how to sign your child up to attend events and we’ll share how you can help us do all the fun things we do. As we grow, this is becoming more and more vital to sustaining our community so please consider how you can help! We can’t wait to see you!
