The Good News is Protection & Care for the Vulnerable

Join us for worship on this Fourth Sunday in Lent as we continue our Lenten theme, “Tell Me Something Good.” Pastor Earl will preach the good news of God’s care and protection for the vulnerable, which forms the foundation of our hope for true peace—not peace through strength, but peace rooted in God’s justice and compassion. The sermon will be based on the scripture readings Deuteronomy 24:17–22 and Matthew 19:13–15.

“You shall not deprive a resident alien or an orphan of justice; you shall not take a widow’s garment in pledge. Remember that you were a slave in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you from there; therefore I command you to do this.”

Deuteronomy 24:17-18
