Dear friends and members of University UMC:
I’m traveling this week for work and had the opportunity to visit The Legacy Sites in Montgomery, Alabama. This was my first visit to these sites; I hope it will not be the last because the story told about slavery and racism in The United States is the most comprehensive and truthful story I’ve ever heard or been taught, and I still have more to learn. As it states on their website: “The Legacy Museum offers a powerful, immersive journey through America’s history of racial injustice.” You may have already been able to make the visit. And some of you supported our youth with your financial gifts and prayers when they visited these sites over the summer.
