Miracle Sunday Update
Miracle Sunday is our denomination-wide initiative to raise funds for theology scholarships for students in Africa, the Philippines, and Europe. Worldwide, many of the first offerings have come from small congregations (under 50 people), making their generosity all the more extraordinary.
To date, UUMC has collected $5,000, and others have indicated they will be donating soon. Many thanks to those who have already donated or pledged! If you want to help fund theological education for years to come, you can donate at uumc.org/give, and choose "Give to Special Offerings" from the dropdown menu; then add "Miracle Sunday" to the notes section. If you're interested in making a donation of stock or other assets, please get in touch with our Finance Director Cindy Reeves at finance@uumc.org for assistance. (Remember that a $50,000 addition to the Endowment for Theological Education in Africa, Europe and the Philippines would generate enough income for one scholarship per year, in perpetuity!)
