I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…Where Does It Hurt?
We continue our July sermon series “I’ve been meaning to ask you…” This Sunday Pastor Teresa’s sermon title is ‘Where Does it Hurt?” and the sermon text is I Samuel 1:1-18. The sermon centers on the very human experience of pain and loss and our call to love like God loves, for God is close to the brokenhearted. Becoming beloved community to one another begins with simple questions like “Where Does it Hurt?” and having the curiosity and compassion to truly listen.
In the scripture lesson, Biblical character Hannah is honest with God about her broken-heartedness in wanting to have a child.
