You may have heard, “Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can…” We know it’s a big ask that we can’t actually live up to, but we strive to live it as a work-in-progress. The ministries below are reflective of our values and are in service to the principle, “do all the good you can”.
Care Ministries
Making others feel seen and cared for is at the core of many of our ministries here at UUMC. Whether delivering flowers to folks or offering a meal and clothing to our neighbors, there are many ways to make others feel loved. These three ministries have been around for decades and are each, in their own way, committed to caring for those in our community.

We have a rich history of working towards justice. Systemic and institutional failures leading to inequalities must have no place within or outside our church walls. We work through a variety of our ministries to try and address the root of these many wrongs and do our best to combat them. Through partnering with other great organizations, or lifting up voices of the oppressed, or doing the hard work of self reflection, we strive to continue this important work.

Hospitality Ministries
Hospitality is the act of making our guests feel welcome. It can be as simple as a handshake, or we it can come in the form of serving them a meal. Whether it’s greeting someone with a smile when they enter our sanctuary on Sunday morning’s or offering a listening ear at Open Door on Saturday, all are ways to make others feel seen and heard. This is the welcoming environment we strive to create here at UUMC.
