| Land & Legacy: Town HallNovember 10 | 7 pm | Fellowship Hall
As we learned at our 5th Sunday event back in June, we’re facing many issues with our beloved old building. This has led us to revive questions this congregation has asked in the past about what development might look like on our property. We formed the Land & Legacy committee to help us in this discernment process. We are hosting a town hall style meeting on Monday, November 10th, at 7 pm to share with you where we are in this process and invite you into this process as we look to our future. We hope you can join us. |

Kenzie Slottow (they/them) is a queer Filipino-American flautist, improv conductor, and creative freelancer. Their work is influenced by many musical genres including rock, Irish, bluegrass, blues, indie folk, hip-hop, and jazz. Each of these come with a cultural history and community that teaches Kenzie about human connection, communal art, and the spirituality of artistic expression. Using improv and interactive theater, Kenzie creates spaces for connection and deep listening, rediscovering our creativity, and co-creating art that |

| Service of Worship Sunday @ 11 amScripture: Matthew 19:13-15
Join us on this special Family Sunday as we celebrate our church family. Rather than a traditional sermon, we will hear from voices across the church and celebrate holy communion together. Worship will include a blessing for the community filled with children and grandparents and we will recognize our UUMC acolytes. We will also hear from members of the UUMC Foundation about the important work of giving today for tomorrow. See an excerpt from the UUMC Foundation below for more information. Special guest The Rev. Collins Etchi Ako who serves in East Congo will be with us in worship. He serves as a United Methodist missionary. The scripture passage will be Matthew 19:13-15 and we will celebrate holy communion together. |

| “At University UMC we believe that whoever you are and wherever you are on your faith journey or life journey, you are welcome. We strive to be a community of support that will walk alongside one another as we celebrate life’s triumphs and grieve its tragedies. We strive to be a community that works together to serve and advocate in the hope of a better future. It has always been your gifts that allow us to live this mission daily, and with the UUMC Foundation you have an opportunity to give today for the church of tomorrow!” – UUMC Foundation brochure |

It’s Not Too Late
Thank you to everyone who has already made your 2026 financial commitment to UUMC. After Commitment to Giving Sunday last week, we have received 120 pledge cards totaling $681,489 toward our $850,000 “Dare to Dream” goal. Twenty of those are first-time pledgers!
Pledges are still being accepted, appreciated and relied upon before we set our budget for 2026. Pledge cards can be submitted in the offering plate or directly to the office in person or by mail. You can also communicate your 2026 financial commitment to me at finance@uumc.org or 512-478-9387 x224.
I have also just emailed updated 2025 giving statements. Please look these over for accuracy and reach out if you have any questions. If you didn’t receive one via email, please let me know so I can update your email address on file or send one by mail.
It was so great seeing you all at our Fall Festival and stewardship luncheon! Thanks for daring to dream with us!
Thank you always for your generosity.
Cindy Reeves, finance director |
