Family Sunday
Come see your awesome UUMC community every third Sunday of the month for Family Sunday! We're looking forward to seeing you all for Godly Play, Modern Family for parents, and then a beautiful service led by kids, youth and congregants alike! Tween Time and MYF to follow!
Senior Sunday
We would like to recognize all UUMC graduating High School Seniors during the service with a small gift and a moment in front of the congregation. Parents of Seniors, please reach out to Natasha to help us prepare for this special event.
Youth: Summer Shareholders
It’s our final week to fundraise for our Youth Summer events in the courtyard!
We’ll use the money we raise for our service week in St. Louis, learning about racial justice!
We will ask people to buy shares in the youth program at $10 a piece before or after worship. The youth will cook and host a special dinner on July 21st to thank all our shareholders and share photos of our week!
Our Whole Lives Sex Education for 7th - 9th Grades
May 25 - 27 | 10 am - 6 pm
Join Kelly Edwards and Natasha Ulack for this 3-day comprehensive Our Whole Lives curriculum. OWL dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships and improves decision making. This is a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education. Attendees will need to bring money for lunch. Email Natasha to register!
Queer Fellowship Brunch
Hosted by the UUMC Queer Council!
Join us for an intergenerational queer fellowship event to kick-off pride month. All LGBTQIA+ members and friends of UUMC are invited to this community building event to get to know each other, share our joys and hopes for our church, and eat waffles! All ages are welcome, and there will be coffee and muffins in the library for any ally parents/guardians to hang out with one another and share in their own fellowship time!

Vacation Church Camp 2024
Join us this year for Vacation Church Camp! Learn more about our theme and lessons at uumc.org/vcc!
It will take place June 3-June 7 from 9 am to 12 pm. Extended care from 12 to 4 pm also available! Parents welcome to volunteer. Email Jillian with any questions and make sure to register your child ASAP!
Youth: Schlitterbahn Social
2023-24 Youth! Meet Natasha & Jillian at the church for a day at Schiltterban to celebrate the year. The cost is $50 per attendee which includes park ticket & dinner. Attendees will need to pack a sack lunch, towel & sunscreen.

"Be The Neighbor" St. Louis Mission Trip
Youth in 8th-12th grade are welcome to join us for our "Be the Neighbor" mission trip in St. Louis, where we will learn about race & reconciliation. The focus will be on the Delmar Divide and how it is both a real division in the city, and a symbol of racism and its effects on the life of a community and individual lives. The cost is $350 per attendee.

Wesley Choir Performance!
Our Wesley choir (1st-12th grade) will sing “Hosanna, Hosanna” by Stan Pethel at the 11 am service on Palm Sunday, March 24th.

The Wesley Children’s Choir will sing during worship on Children’s Sunday, September 17. They will sing “If You’re Happy Say Amen” by André Thomas.
Rehearsals will be immediately following the 11 am service on the chancel in the Sanctuary.
Parents should contact Alicia by August 13 if their children would like to participate.
30 Hour Famine & Lock-In
This event reminds us of the importance of food security and why our service work with those who need it is so vital. Students will start the fast at home at 5:00 am and will then meet at the church at 7:15 am to help with Open Door. Throughout Saturday, we will be doing service projects and really taking time to think for ourselves the importance of food security. On Sunday, we will break our fast with breakfast. We hope this experience can be moving and provide perspective.

We're kicking off the new year with roller skating at Playland Skate Center! All youth and Tweens meet Jillian and Natasha in the Fellowship Hall after the service. Please bring lunch and $10. Lock-In & Fig Leaf Volunteering
Come join the youth for their Christmas Party/Lock in Friday night followed by helping pass out Christmas presents at Open Door Saturday morning.
Children & Youth Caroling
Join Alicia and Jillian for carolling after the service! We'll visit a few of the wonderful retirement homes in our community after a lunch provided by us. Kiddos are welcome to wear festive outfits but no rehearsal is required. We're just going to spread some cheer.
Parents are welcome to help us drive kiddos or stay at the church to complete some workday tasks. Pickup at the church at 3 pm.

Youth & Tweens Worship at Wesley UMC
Tweens (4th & 5th graders) and Youth (6th - 12th graders), meet Jillian and Natasha in the Fellowship Hall! We'll leave right after Sunday School at 10:45 am. We'll head to an 11 o'clock service at Wesley UMC, an all-black congregant UMC church. Then we'll head to Kerbey Lane- please send your kiddo with money for lunch! If you're interested in helping us drive, please contact Jillian!
MYF & Tween Time: Tween & Youth Olympics
Youth (6th - 12th graders) and Tweens(4th & 5th graders)! Meet Jillian and Natasha in the Fellowship Hall! Tweens and youth will meet separately to eat and check in. Then, we'll head out to the Smith's house for backyard olympics! Bring a lunch and if you're interested in helping us drive, contact Jillian!
MYF & Tween Time: East Austin Walking Tour
Master Storyteller, Javier Wallace of Black Austin Tours is taking our tweens and youth on a historical walking tour of East Austin. Join us to learn more about the beginnings of Austin's Black community through the present. This will be an amazing and insightful experience for tweens and youth, we hope to see you there!

MYF - Kayak Adventure
Youth! Meet in the Fellowship Hall to eat and check in. Then, we'll meet up with the tweens and head out together for kayaking on Lake Austin, please bring lunch and $15! We’ll return to the church for pick up.
Methodist Youth Fellowship
Youth are invited to get together in the Fellowship Hall for MYF! We’ll eat and check-in with one another. Then, we'll meet up with the Tweens and head out together for a Methodist scavenger hunt around Austin, learning all about our Methodist community! We’ll end our hunt at UUMC for parent pickup.
Methodist Youth Fellowship
Our Youth (6th - 12th grades) are invited to bring a sack lunch and join us in the Fellowship Hall to eat and check in. After lunch, we’ll meet up with the Tweens and drive over to friend of UUMC Bill Frisbie’s house for swimming and fellowship. PLEASE BRING A TOWEL AND LUNCH. We’ll return to UUMC for parent pick up.

Back to School Kickoff
Save the Date! There will be events during the Sunday School hour, a Blessing of the Backpacks and Prayer for Teachers during the 1 1am service and ice cream in the courtyard after the service. It will be a terrific day to celebrate the start of the new school year. You won't want to miss it!
Youth Shareholders' Dinner
